The setting of Soulframe is themed around nature and the corruption of nature. The main character is an Envoy, who has a connection to the souls of his ancestors appear in the form of Wandering souls. He also The game takes place in Midrath. In this world, the Kingdom of Ode rules supreme, and has entered into a war against nature and its divine entities, the Omen Beasts; spirits of nature that were born from the God of Midrath, Alca. This world is surrounded by corrupted nature and beasts. The corruption makes them hostile. This is caused by Ode, the main antagonist in Soulframe.
